Dans un moment de folie, un petit vaisseau spatial en mission d’exploration s’écrase sur une planète océan inconnue. Heureusement des sortes de pieuvres géantes aident les cinq rescapés à remonter à la surface et à rejoindre la seule île à l’horizon. À leur grande surprise, ils sont accueillis sur le rivage par des humains aussi primitifs que bienveillants. Si ces hommes et femmes au sourire figé se révèlent être cannibales, le plus inquiétant reste leur totale docilité. Les naufragés sont-ils condamnés eux aussi à se soumettre à la volonté du mystérieux Grand Tout ?
In a moment of madness, a small spaceship on an exploration mission crashes on an unknown ocean planet. Fortunately, giant octopus-like creatures help the five survivors reach the surface and the only island on the horizon. To their great surprise, they are greeted on the shore by humans who are as primitive as they are benevolent. And even though these people with their fixed smiles turn out to be cannibals, their complete docility is the most disturbing aspect. Are the castaways also condemned to submit to the will of the mysterious Great One?
